Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar
Lorna Huang is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and College of Clinical Neuropsychologists (CCN). She completed her Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at the University of Sydney and is in the final year of her PhD/Master of Clinical Neuropsychology program at Macquarie University, supported by the Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship. She is completing her registrar program being closely supervised by Dr Jamie Berry.
Lorna has experience working with diverse neurological, developmental, neurodegenerative and mental health disorders for assessment, group-based and individual cognitive remediation, and positive behaviour support. She is passionate about providing high-quality neuropsychological services for all individuals that focuses on establishing a therapeutic relationship that is person-centred, safe and supportive. She aims to use integrated psychological tools and approaches to help her clients to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
Committed to ongoing professional growth, Lorna regularly participates in peer consultation, individual supervision, and training to enhance her knowledge and skills to ensure the delivery of effective and high-quality care for her clients. Her research Investigates cognitive impairments following cancer treatment and the benefits of cognitive rehabilitation in affected populations.
