    Dr Jamie Berry
    Founder & Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist


    Dr Jamie Berry is a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist and the Director of Advanced Neuropsychological Treatment Services (ANTS). Jamie is endorsed as a Clinical Neuropsychologist by the Psychology Board of Australia and he is a fellow of the College of Clinical Neuropsychologists (CCN) of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). He teaches on the postgraduate training programs at the University of Technology Sydney, Sydney University and Macquarie University. He has an honorary appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at Macquarie University.

    Jamie has extensive experience working as a clinical neuropsychologist across a range of settings including neuro-rehabilitation, mental health and dementia. Jamie’s specialty is neuropsychological rehabilitation and intervention.

    Jamie's current research focus is the assessment and remediation of cognitive impairment among individuals with alcohol and other drug (AOD) use disorders. He is the project lead of the Alcohol and drug Cognitive Enhancement (ACE) project, a collaboration between ANTS, the NSW Health Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) and We Help Ourselves (WHOS). Jamie has published and presented about a range of topics at several local, national and international conferences.

    Dr Karen Wallace is a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist with expertise in the assessment of adult and older adult populations. Karen has extensive experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of neurological conditions, assessment and differential diagnosis of neurodegenerative conditions, the assessment and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, and behavioural modification. Karen is registered as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is endorsed as a practitioner in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology. Karen is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Neuropsychologists. Karen is also an Honorary Associate in the Department of Psychology at Macquarie University and provides post-graduate clinical supervision to Masters and Doctoral students.

    Karen has a particular interest in the neuropsychological assessment of persons from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background and this was the focus of her doctoral research where she was the Principal Investigator of the ‘Chinese Australian Neuropsychological Normative Study (CANNS)’. Karen is also interested in the practical implementation of tailored treatment for cognitive difficulties and is one of the facilitators on the Advanced Neuropsychological Treatment Services ANTS Cognitive Remediation Program.

    Professor Arthur Shores commenced his career as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Westmead Hospital. He was later Director of the Postgraduate Neuropsychology Program at Macquarie University, where he is now an Honorary Associate Professor. Prior to his retirement from clinical/medico-legal practice, he was Director of a Medicolegal Neuropsychology Consultancy and was also an approved Medical Assessor for MAA/SIRA. He was made a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society in 2006 and received the Award of Distinction from the College of Clinical Neuropsychologists in 2007.

    He was the senior developer of the Westmead PTA Scale and the Abbreviated Westmead PTA Scale for use in hospitals and emergency departments, respectively. His research on brain injury and assessment has been cited over 5,000 times in the scientific literature.

    He continues to have a keen interest in research supervision, journal peer review, complex case formulation and mentoring early-career clinicians in critical thinking and evidence-based practice. He is on the Editorial Boards of the journal Applied Neuropsychology: Adult, and the journal Frontiers in Neurology: Neurotrauma.

    Dr Donel Martin is a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist and mid-career academic researcher based at the University of New South Wales.

    His research interests include cognitive remediationand investigating the cognitive effects of novel interventional treatments for neuropsychiatric disorders including the use of brain stimulation (e.g., transcranial direct current stimulation: tDCS; repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation: rTMS), ketamine and psilocybin. He has published >100 peer reviewed papers which have received >3000 citations.

    Since 2015 he has been a lecturer and demonstrator at the Black Dog Institute’s rTMS and tDCS courses and a guest lecturer at higher education postgraduate courses.

    Matthew So is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with endorsement to practice in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology. Matthew completed his Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at the University of Sydney before completing his Masters in Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University. After graduating, he completed a two-year registrar program being closely supervised by Dr Jamie Berry.

    Matthew has experience working with adult and older adults in various settings and populations, including those with traumatic brain injuries, strokes, mental health disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Matthew is passionate about using Clinical Neuropsychology not only as a tool for assessment and delineation of cognitive functioning, but also to assist in improving day-to-day functioning through intervention and remediation. To this end, Matthew has provided successful neuropsychological interventions in individual and group settings.

    Nicola Earls is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) who has endorsement to practice in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology. She is also a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

    Nicola completed her Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at the University of Western Australia and later completed her Masters degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University. Nicola then went on to complete her registrar program, during which time she received close supervision from senior ANTS clinicians Dr Karen Wallace and Dr Jamie Berry.

    Nicola has experience working with adult and older adults across various settings and populations including neurological, developmental, neurodegenerative and mental health disorders. She also has experience providing group-based and individual cognitive remediation. Nicola is passionate about providing high-quality neuropsychological services for all individuals, with a particular interest in working with individuals from vulnerable populations.

    Lorna Huang is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and College of Clinical Neuropsychologists (CCN). She completed her Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at the University of Sydney and is in the final year of her PhD/Master of Clinical Neuropsychology program at Macquarie University, supported by the Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship. She is completing her registrar program being closely supervised by Dr Jamie Berry.

    Lorna has experience working with diverse neurological, developmental, neurodegenerative and mental health disorders for assessment, group-based and individual cognitive remediation, and positive behaviour support. She is passionate about providing high-quality neuropsychological services for all individuals that focuses on establishing a therapeutic relationship that is person-centred, safe and supportive. She aims to use integrated psychological tools and approaches to help her clients to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

    Committed to ongoing professional growth, Lorna regularly participates in peer consultation, individual supervision, and training to enhance her knowledge and skills to ensure the delivery of effective and high-quality care for her clients. Her research Investigates cognitive impairments following cancer treatment and the benefits of cognitive rehabilitation in affected populations.

    Rishika Nahar Gaikwad is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is completing her registrar program to obtain endorsement to practice in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology under the close supervision of Dr Jamie Berry. Rishika completed her Bachelor of Psychology with Honours, as well as Masters of Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University.

    Rishika has experience working with adults and older adults in across various settings and populations including neurological, developmental, neurodegenerative, and mental health disorders. She also has experience providing group-based and individual cognitive remediation. Rishika is passionate about using her knowledge of clinical neuropsychology to help her clients maximise their quality of life and achieve their goals.

    Thomas Borchard is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is currently completing a two year clinical neuropsychology registrar program supervised by Dr Jamie Berry.

    Thomas completed his Bachelor of Psychology with Honours and a Masters degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University. Following this, he has worked in both private and public hospital settings providing neuropsychological services to a variety of populations, including those with traumatic brain injury, stroke, neurodegenerative illnesses, and mental health disorders.
